- John Wesley Trollinger, 27, died March 12, 2012 in Nashua, N.H., where he had been living the past year.
He was born in Marietta, Dec. 19, 1984, son of Andrew and Athena (Tina) Strickland Trollinger, lived the early part of his life in Smyrna and was a graduate of Osborne High School. From 2004 to 2006 he served with the U.S. Army in Korea and later was engaged in construction work.
Surviving is his mother and step-father, Athena (Tina) and Glenn Johnson, Adairsville; son, Julian Brett Trollinger, Calhoun; brother, Jonathan Trollinger, Adairsville; father, Andrew Trollinger, Smyrna; grandparents, Bonnie and Henry Strickland, Shannon; uncle, Wayne Strickland, Sparta, Ky.; aunts, Shelley (Allen) Waldrop, Rex, Donna Kaufman, Acworth, and Mae (Kevin) Bryant, Shannon, along with a number of cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in Rush Chapel United Methodist Church with the pastor Rev. Larry Russell officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
Pallbearers are asked to meet at Rush Chapel United Methodist Church by 2:30 p.m. Sunday and include Wayne Strickland, Allen Waldrop, Dylan Bryant, Kevin Bryant and Parnick Jennings Sr.
