ALLAN D SHENEMAN
Word has been received that former Marion {OH) resident, Allen D SHENEMAN, 99, -d 07 Aug (1995), at his home in Santa Ana CA.
Born 09 Feb 1896 at Sheneman's Corners in Leesburg Tp, Union Co OH, he was s/o late Emanuel M & Lucy (HILDRETH) SHENEMAN.
On 25 Nov 1916 [Marion Co OH], he married Ruth BILGER of Marion -- she died in 1992 after 75 yrs of marriage.
He moved to Marion OH in 1912, was an agent for Metropolitan Life Ins Co, Marion from 1919 until transferring to their Santa Ana offices in 1945, retiring in 1961, after 41 yrs of serv.
Allen was a well known collector and restorer of early recorded music boxes & players. His collection of records at one time numbered more than 4,000. Following retirement, he began researching family history and published genealogies for the SHENEMAN, HILDRETH, MECHLING & BILGER families.
Survivors include: dtr Helen SHENEMAN ROESNER, Anaheim CA, 03 gd'chr, 08 gt'gr'chr & several gt'gt'gr'chr (unnamed), all living in CA; the uncle of Trella ROMINE & Mary HECKER, both of Marion OH.
He was preceded by sisters, Lillie SHENEMAN FETTER & Ivaloo SHENEMAN HEMMERLY.
