I told my Mother when I spoke with her this evening about me contacting you to see if Bill Drollinger was the West Point graduate. She told me that when Gabriel divorced Bill's Mother, that the family split up. Mother told me that Gabriel's ex-wife NEVER had any use for any of the rest of the Drollinger family. Mother's opinion was that his ex-wife seemed to think that she was much better than the rest of the family and the Drollinger's were just country bumpkins. Mother told me that as far as she knows, she has never seen Gabriel's ex-wife who is Bill's Mother. When we attended Aunt Victoria's funeral in Wichita about 1961 or so, I remember meeting Gabriel and his new wife and their young son "Chip". Chip was about 5 years old or so at that time. Chip was killed I believe in an automobile accident when he was about 13 years old. My Mother asked Gabriel at Aunt Victoria's funeral about his ex-wife and their son. I remember Gabriel telling her that he had no idea as to where they were or what they were doing. That would have been the same time that Bill was a Cadet at West Point. My Mother told me that up until about the early 1980s she sent Gabriel and his new wife a Christmas card every year and then although the cards were never returned, they were not answered anymore. Mother said that she did not know about Bill being a West Point graduate or an Army officer until you supplied that information. I remember several years ago that you provided me with Bill's Mother's address and telephone number in California. I gave that information to my Mother but she told me that she would not contact her because for one thing she had never seen her before and she also felt that Bill's Mother more than likely did not want to have any contact with any of the Drollinger family members.
