(Jack) Trollinger, 86, of Rt. 1, Haw River, died Thursday night at 6:30 o'clock in a Chapel Hill hospital following five years of declining health and six months of critical illness. A native of Alamnace County, Mr. Trollinger was the son of the late James Henry and Belle Trollinger Trollinger. He was the husband of the late Mrs. Virginia Russell Trollinger and was a well-known farmer and member of Haw River United Church of Christ. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Jessie Sharpe of Sebastian,Fla., Mrs. Lois Satterfield of Rt. 2, Graham, and Mrs. Grace Rich ofRt. 1, Haw River; four sons, W.A. Trollinger of Rt. 3, Hillsborough, Robert Trollinger of Rt. 4, Mebane, Melvin Trollinger of the home, and James Trollinger of Roanoke, Va.; one sister, Mrs. Mary Meeks of Reidsville; one half-sister, Mrs. Janie Loman of Carolina Beach; one half-brother, L.W. Trollinger of Haw River; 24 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Final rites will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Haw River United Church of Christ. The Rev. James L. Rosser, pastor, will conduct the service. Burial will be in Trollinger Cemetery. The body will remain at McClure Funeral Home in Graham until taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Visitation will begin Saturday morning at 11 o'clock, and the family will be at the funeral home Saturday night from 7 to 9 o'clock.
