Notes - Gayle L. Crawford, 90, of Butler died at 1:47 a.m. today at Passavant Hospital McCandless. He had been a resident of St. John's Specialty Care Center in Marsfor several years.
Born June 24, 1911, in Millvale, he was the son of Robert Ordel Crawford and Beulah Margaret Dunn Crawford.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Butler Masonic Lodge 272, Scottish Rite of New Castle, Syria Temple, Butler Luncheon Club and Acadia Club. He was a former secretary and president of Butler Shrine Caravan 14.
Mr. Crawford had retired from the accounting department ofArmco-Butler Works.
Surviving are a son, Gayle L. "Ted" Crawford Jr. of Massachutsetts; a sister, Mrs. John (Margaret) Daum of Butler; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
His wife, Hilda V. Hockenberry Crawford, whom he married April 29, 1939, died Oct 26, 1994. Two brothers also preceded him in death.
