Dr. Moore, born March 17, 1855, in Ellsworth, Me.,graduated from the University of Vermont and attended medical collegein New York. Coming to Oregon about 60 years ago, Dr. Moore first practiced in St.Helens, later moving to Portland where he was active until about fouryears ago. Masonic Membership Held On May 4, 1885, Dr. Moore married marrried Nettie Morgan, daughter ofa pioneer Oregon family, in Hillsboro, and they celebrated theirgolden wedding anniversary before her death in 1938. Dr. Moore wasone of the members of the first staff of St. Vincent's hospital andwas for many years on the board of the Waverly Baby home. He was a member of Washington Masonic lodge No. 46, Scottish Rite, andthe Shrine. He belonged as well to the Sons of the AmericanRevolution, the Auld Lange Syne society, and was a member and trusteeof Hawthorne Park Presbyterian church. Surviving are three sons, Dr. Clifford H. Moore, Dr. Harry B. Mooreand Dr. Merle W. Moore."
