      Obit: "The funeral services of Mrs. M. F. Darst, SS, who passed awayWednesday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hensel Eckmanfollowing a heart attack, were held Friday afternoon at the Eckmanresidence by the Rev. Carl S. Matthews, of Lumberton, N. C., JohnsonCity, Tenn., former pastors of Mrs. Darst, and Dr. Tillman B. Johnson,of Pulaski.
      Active pall bearers were Henry D. Jordan, of Dublin; W. S. Gilmer, D.C. Laughon, N. C. Carlton, E. T. Howard, M. C. Bane, J. G. Bosang andT. C. Painter. Flowers were carried by ladies of the Women Auxiliaryexecutive board and of Circle No. 3 of the Presbyterian church.
      Interment was in the Dublin cemetery. A large concourse of friends andrelatives attended the I services both at the residence and thecemetery. Mrs. Darst, although in failing health for some time, didnot become seriously ill until Tuesday when she suffered a slightheart attack while attending a church meeting. She was taken to herdaughter's home and seemed to be improving until the end camesuddenly.
      Mrs. Darst was the widow of James T. Darst, for many years a Pulaski
      druggist.
      She was active in church work and made a legion of friends who wereshocked at her passing.
