- KINGMAN, Ind. - Harold L. Drollinger, 87, of rural Kingman, Ind., passed away at 4 a.m. EDT Friday, Sept. 14, 2012, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 20, 1925, in Bismarck, Ill., the son of the late Clarence and Edith Meeker Drollinger. Harold met his wife of 64 years at the old I & I skating rink. They were married Feb. 29, 1948, in rural Kingman, Ind. She survives.
Other survivors include his children, Russell (Paula) Drollinger of Jeffersonville, Ind., Annie (Mike) Nelson of Hillsboro, Ind., Kenneth Wayne (Vickie) Drollinger of Covington, Ind., Harold Duane (Suzy)Drollinger of Covington, Ind., Mary (Perry) Ferguson of Kingman, Ind.,and Paul William (Angelina) Drollinger of Clark Summitt, Penn.; 22 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Woodard of Catlin and Mary Lou (Dane) Darr of Fairmount; and two brothers-in-law, Carl Butts and Robert Clawson, both of Veedersburg,Ind.
Harold was preceded in death by three sisters, Pauline Hines, Beverly Butts and Bonnie Clawson; and daughter-in-law, Tressie Drollinger.
Harold was a farmer. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Army. He was a member of the West Liberty Church of Christ, located south of Covington, Ind., and the Veedersburg American Legion Post 288. Harold enjoyed singing and playing music with his family and mowing his yard. He was noted for making something out of nothing.
Funeral services: 11 a.m. EDT Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at the West Liberty Church of Christ, located south of Covington, Ind., with Paul Ziebart and Kevin Wildman officiating. Burial: West Liberty Cemetery south of Covington. Visitation: 2-6 p.m. EDT Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012,at West Liberty Church of Christ and one hour prior to services on Monday.
