  	Byline: The Register-Guard Bernetta Harry DEADWOOD - A memorial service will be held Dec. 26 for Bernetta Harry of Deadwood, formerly of Mapleton, who died Dec. 19 of lung cancer. She was 67. Harry was born March 23, 1934, in Florence, to Herbert and Garnet Clark Drollinger. She graduated from Mapleton High School in 1952. She married Paul Harry in Jefferson on Jan. 3, 1956. She was a homemaker and mother and enjoyed spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Mapleton School Board. Harry was also a member of the Mapleton Lions Club Auxiliary. She was recognized with a Lions Club Citizenship Award in 2001. She was a lifetime resident of Lane County. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Herbert of Colorado Springs, Colo., Michael of Salem and Dorman of Springfield; a daughter, Paula Scherer of Yelm, Wash.; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Wednesday's service will be at 3 p.m. at the Mapleton Evangelical Church. Burns' Riverside Chapel/Florence Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Home Health and Hospice of Florence.

  I called and spoke with Bernetta on 30 Apr 1995. If I understood her correctly, she was adopted by Herbert's first wife (surname, Drankon) before she and Herbert were married. Apparently, after Drankon and Herbert were married, Herbert adopted Bernetta as well.
