Kline was born on May 4, 1915, the daughter of Edward J. and Theresa (Lambert) Kline in Wahpeton, ND. She attended St. John's Elementary School and graduated from Wahpeton High School. In 1941, Evelyn was united in marriage to Alan Trullinger in Wichita, KS. They lived in Carrington and she helped Alan in the plumbing business. Alan died in 1991, and Evelyn remained in her home in Carrington until 2004, when she moved to Breckenridge, MN. In January2012, Evelyn entered St. Francis Healthcare. She enjoyed knitting and embroidering dish towels. She was a member of Catholic Order of Foresters, Sacred Heart Altar Society, Carrington Genealogy Club, and the Foster County Museum. Evelyn is survived by three children, Theresa (Richard) Hanson, Weslaco, TX, Arlene Hirsch, Weslaco, TX, and Curtis (Gail) Trullinger, Littleton, CO; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and one sister, Sybilla (Walter) Helland, Breckenridge, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Alan; one brother Arnold Kline; one son-in-law, Shearn Hirsch; and one great nephew, Casey Helland.
