- GREENSBORO, N.C. - Lula Mae Sellars, 79, formerly of Hudgins Drive, Greensboro, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2009.
The funeral will be held at 12 p.m., July 18, at Woodard Funeral Home. Visitation will start at 11:30 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at 703 Bluford Street.
A Rockingham County native, Lula Mae was the daughter of the late Sidney Lawson and Julia McVey. In addition to her parents, Lula Mae was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, John A. Sellars, and a sister, Adell Phillips, formerly of Burlington, N.C.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Scales and Betty Jean Sellars; sons, Arthur Lewis Sellars and Robert Sellars (Sharon); nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
She was well liked by many and will be sorely missed by those who knew her.
The family wishes to extend its gratitude to the many caregivers at Wesley Long Hospital and Hospice & Palliative Care of Greensboro.
