      CHRISTIANSEN, ARTHUR E. - 88, of Rankin, a retired farmer and railroadworker, died at 1:45 a.m. yesterday 7-14-1992 at Hoopeston CommunityMemorial Hospital, Hoopeston. His graveside funeral will be at 1:30p.m. Thursday at Rankin Union Cemetery, the Rev. Janet Preusofficiating. There will be no visitaiton. Knapp Funeral Home, Eureka,is in charge of arrangements.
      He was born 10-20-1903, in Gibson City, a son of Peter and PetraJessen Christiansen. He married Lucy Ella Norris 12-5-1923, inDanville. She died 5-19-1960. He married Phyllis Barrow Davis12-28-1968, in Farmer City. She survives in Rankin.
      Also surviving are a son, Alvin, Milford; two daughters, LulaDrollinger, Milford, and Loretta Lane, Clearwater, Fla.; two stepsons,Ronald L. Davis, Champaign, and Phillip Davis, Decatur; three sisters,Mildred Ballard, Paxton; Jennie Kozubal, McHenry; and LenoraHarrington, Beaver Dam, Wis.; seven grandchildren; twostepgrandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded indeath by six brothers, two sisters and a grandchild. Mr. Christiansenwas a member of Rankin United Methodist Church. Memorials may be madeto a charity of the donor's choice.
