Upland - On Friday, December 20, Ronald Everett Leming, 51, left his earthly home to be with the Lord in heaven. Ronnie, as family called him, lived in Upland, Indiana. Ronnie was born on February 9, 1962 and raised in Grant County. He was a 1980 Eastbrook High School graduate.
He is survived by his daughter, Jessica (Jake Cannaday) Leming, and a grandson, Ayden Robert, Columbia City. He is also survived by his parents, Ronald and Janess (Drollinger) Leming, Marion. He is also survived by one brother, Steve (Michelle) Leming, Gas City and one sister, Sheryl (Gery) Loftis, Upland. He is survived by many nieces and nephews, Tye (Ashley), Justin (Jessica), Brandon, Megan, Shane, Kali, Kelsey, Letetia and Olivia.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jasper and Josephine (Parks) Drollinger and also his paternal grandparents, William and Betty (Shuck) Leming.
Ronnie was a student at Ivy Tech Community College. He was studying Radiology and was working towards his degree. At the time of his passing, Ronnie was working at CJ's in Gas City.
Ronnie was a good, caring man who loved the Lord. He attended church at Center Chapel United Methodist Church. He was always an active participant during church functions and was always willing to help out wherever and whenever he could.
Ronnie was part of a large family and he loved spending time with them. He loved going on family camping trips and looked forward to the annual Leming Roundup every summer. It was an opportunity for him to spend time with his whole family and also to ride the horses that he loved. He had a love of fast cars. He was a very organized person and he enjoyed cleaning and sprucing up cars.
Ronnie will be dearly missed by his family and friends but we all find comfort in knowing that he is in the Heavenly Kingdom with our Lord and Savior.
In lieu of a funeral, there will be a Celebration of Life at Center Chapel United Methodist Church, 8743 East 200 South, Marion, Indiana on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 11:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Center Chapel United Methodist Church, or to the American Diabetes Association.
Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main Street, Gas City, Indiana handled local arrangements.
