- John Cordes, 51, of Henning died at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday (Oct. 22, 2003) at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
He was born March 23, 1952 in Danville, a son of Thomas and Norma Drollinger Cordes. He married Betty Bostwick on Dec. 30, 1972 in Danville. She survives.
Also surviving are his parents of Danville; two sons, Chad Cordes of Jamestown, Indiana and Derek Cordes of Georgetown; two daughters, Corinna Lyons-Revello of Westville and Tammy Cordes-Thilmony of Henning; a sister, Marcia Stevens of Danville and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandson.
He was a firefighter for 20 years and an assistant chief of Bismarck Volunteer Fire District Station 3.
