- Stella Mae Drullinger, 95 of North Platte died Nov. 26, at Linden Court.
She was born Nov. 17, 1913, in Alliance to Mark and Carrie Miller Brandt.
She moved with her family from Scottsbluff to Chadron in 1929.
On June 25, 1930, she married Ralph Drullinger of Chadron. The couple resided much of their married life in Palisade until her husband's retirement from Southwest Public Power in 1972.
She became a member of the Church of Christ on Nov. 11, 1945. Church work was an important part of her life. She taught Sunday school classes and was also one of the teachers of a Community Ladies Bible Class in Palisade for many years. She also had contact with over 2,000 overseas Bible Correspondence students through World Bible School. Her students ranged from the Minister of Economic Development to a very poor family who lived in a mud hut in Kenya.
After the couple retired they moved to Chadron where Stella was active in RSVP work. In 1988 they moved to Fairbury to be near their family. She moved to North Platte in June, 1991.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Drullinger of Norcatur, Kan.; a son, Gerald (Beverly) Drullinger of Overland Park, Kan.; grandchildren, Steven J. Drullinger of Wichita, Kan., Vicki (Joe) Rohach of Hallam, Linda (Steve) Reisig of Scottsbluff, Cindy Green of Englewood, Colo., and Kendra (Mike) Miner of Leawood, Kan.; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents: husband, Ralph; a son, Donald; a brother, Edward Brandt; and a daughter-in-law, Lee Drullinger.
