    • David F. Drollinger, 66, 1414 Mount Carmel Road, Orrtanna, Pa., died Saturday, November 17, 2007 at the Gettysburg Hospital.

      Mr. Drollinger was born April 24, 1941 in Danville, Ill., the son of the late George W. and Bessie E. Hanson Drollinger. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Michal Johnson Drollinger.

      Mr. Drollinger was employed for MacDonald-Douglas Corp. in Torrance, Calif. for 27 years and later for Walker Engineering in Sun Valley, Calif., until his retirement in 2004. After 40 years in Southern California, Mr. Drollinger retired to the hills of Orrtanna, Pa., where he enjoyed his beloved family and working with his favorite John Deere Tractor. After his family, his passion was car racing, from being a driver in his early years to truck driver for Tyler Walker's All-star Sprint Team to being an avid spectator of Sprint Cars and NASCAR racing.

      In addition to his wife, Mr. Drollinger is survived by five children, Dana M. Hendric and her husband, Michael of Fresno, Calif., Duane E. Drollinger of Orrtanna, Pa., Bryan K. Drollinger and his wife, Annelyn, of Torrance, Calif. Cindy D. D'Aquino and her husband, Tommy, of Frederick, Pamela D. Day and her husband, Bryan, of Frederick; ten grandchildren; a brother, Jim Drollinger of Missoula, Mont.; a sister, Patricia S. Paden of Dallas, Texas. He was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey A. Drollinger and a brother, Robert "Bob" Drollinger.

      A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20 from Monahan Funeral Home, 27 E. Main St., Fairfield, Pa., with Rev. Mike Watson officiating.
