  It appears that Margaret may have used the double 'L' spelling of Trollinger. However, because her siblings (with the possible exception of Andrew) are the third generation in her family to use the 'Trolinger' spelling we believe she should be listed herein with the 'Trolinger' spelling as well in spite of the 'Trollinger' spelling on her death certificate. Bear in mind, she lived the majority of her life with the Sumpter married surname and probably never had the need to worry about the spelling of her maiden surname or the need of it on any documents. Additionally, the informant on her death certificate may not have even known how her family had historically spelled the name and she (Harriett Stricklin) simply provided the spelling of 'Trollinger' believing that was the correct spelling.
