Mrs. Little was born in Bedford Co., Pennsylvania. Her maiden name was Drollinger. She was married to Joseph Little October 31st, 1852. To them were born 10 children of which one died in infancy and 9 are still living, all being permitted to be present at the funeral which occurred Monday. The funeral services were conducted by Elder John Zuck and was largely attended by many sympathizing friends and neighbors.

  Note: maiden name from 1825 census. 1880 Census, Iowa, Cedar County, Red Oak, Joseph Little, PA, 52, Farmer, Mary, 50, PA, wife; Nancy, 23, IL; Florence, 21, IL, teaching school; Mary, 19, IL, teaching school; Martha, 16, IL; William, 14, IA; Nevada, 11, IA, Nellie 8, IA; Fred, 4, IA; Silas, 38, brother, carpenter, PA. I am looking for information about a Joseph Little and a Mary D(r)ellinger. Joseph was thought to have been from Pennsylvania and would have been born around 1850 or earlier... and Mary may have been from Iowa or Indiana, and born around the same time. Maybe she too was from Pennsylvania... not sure. I can't seem to find anything about their parents, so i'm hoping this will help. Joseph and Mary had a son named Arthur Melvin Little, who was born in 1870, Tipton, Iowa. Arthur married Lucy Hanks, and they moved to Colorado, where they had my Great-Grandfather Burrell Little(1896) and his sister Marjorie Little Harris. Burrell married Lydia Carlquist in Oregon, and they had Robert Gordon Little, my grandfather. If you have any information, it would be greatly appreciated if you could pass your information along...
