He had been a resident of Kansas City for many years having left Bedford County about 1876. He was united in marriage to Mary Mellon (deceased) and is survived by five daughters and two sons; also the following sisters, Mrs Mary Mock of Roaring Spring, Mrs Elizabeth Wisegarver of Cessna and Mrs Harriette Hutton Kansas City.
