It is in the form a photocopy that I believe my mother gave to me some time ago. In a space above the document printed from a typewriter are the following words: "Note: LaVerne here is some additional information mom had given me: Her mother's family, the Teftellers were originally from England. Her mother Cornellia Teftteller, went by the nickname of "Nelia".
      Her father's parents were Henry (?) Slate who married Sarah Roads. She believed them to be from Kentucky originally but they were married in Mansfield, Missouri. They had five children, Albert, Molly, Jim, Tom and John W. (your grandfather)". I believe these words were typed by LaVerne's sister-in-law, Sue Henley who was married to LaVerne's brother, Paul Henley.

Manville's father and mother are both listed as being born in Tennessee. His wife, 'Jane H. Tefteller', age 30 at last birthday prior to 1 Jun 1880, born in Tennessee, and her occupation listed as 'Keeping house'. Jane's father and mother are both listed as being born in Tennessee. Manville and Jane are listed with their children; 'Margret Tefteller', age 7 at last birthday prior to 1 Jun 1880, born in Tennessee; 'Callie C. Tefteller', age 5 at last birthday prior to 1 Jun 1880, born in Tennessee; 'Mary Tefteller', age 3 at last birthday prior to 1 Jun 1880, born in Tennessee; and 'Harriet J. Tefteller', age 8/12 (8 Months) at last birthday prior to 1 Jun 1880, born in Tennessee.
