  	HARTMAN, Angus Marion (husband of Elizabeth Ann Starkey) 1912, July 31 - Newspaper article: A. M. HARTMAN DIES SUDDENLY Sad and sudden was the death of our late townsman, Angus Marion Hartman. Mr. Hartman died without an instance warning Thursday afternoon at 5 o'clock on the county road opposite the Frazier ranch. Mr. and Mrs. Hartman and son were returning from a three weeks camping trip on the Eel River. He and his son had walked up hill and after climbing into the rig, as he took the lines from his wife's hand, he fell into her lap. After mother and son had worked over the body for a few minutes, medical aid was sent for. Dr. Lendrum responded immediately but could do nothing. Later Dr. Lendrum performed an autopsy on the body and advised that a ruptured blood vessel of the heart was the cause of death. Mr. Hartman was born in California in 1858. For the last few years he was engaged in business in this city, being highly respected by this many friends. A bereaved widow, a son and a brother and sister survive to mourn his sad and sudden departure and to share the sympathies of the community The funeral took place Sunday from the Presbyterian Church. Rev. Grace officiated at the church and the Woodmen of the World took charge at the grave. "A. M. Hartman Dies Suddenly."
