      Richard Hugh Titus, 84, of Kuhn Lake, formerly of Wabash, died at 9:37 p.m. Sunday, March 14, 2010 at Miller's Merry Manor East in Wabash. He was born June 10, 1925 in Wabash County, Indiana, to Ralph E. and Hazel (Sipole) Titus.
      Richard married Mary Louise Shellenbarger in Wabash on June 1, 1952; she died July 30, 1994. He owned and operated Titus Nursery in Wabash several years, and worked for Hoffman Nursery 35 years. He was a member of Bachelor Creek Church of Christ in Wabash, and North Webster American Legion. He was an avid fisherman and a Purdue fan.
      He is survived by two sons, Rodney H. (Brenda) Titus of Bedford, Indiana, Randy J. Titus of Wabash; four grandchildren, Josh (Suzzi) Titus of Ellettsville, Indiana, Sarah Titus of Bedford, Ian Titus, and Katie Titus, both of Florida; four great-grandchildren, Avery Titus of Bedford, Tyler Spohn, Mike Spohn, and Ali Spohn, all of Ellettsville; Sister, Virginia Karnehm of Lafayette, Indiana; and his brother, Jerry (Marti) Titus of Chesapeake, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Scott Titus, who died April 26, 1992, six brothers, and one sister.
      Funeral services will be held at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

      Fort Wayne - Mary Louise Titus, 60, Pierceton, died at 1:40 p.m. Saturday at Lutheran Hospital.
      She was born on Dec. 9, 1933, in Wabash to Jesse and Hazel (Fruit) Shellenbarger. She Married Richard Titus on June 1, 1952 in Wabash. He survives.
      Mrs. Titus was a cook at Northfield High School for 10 years. She graduated from Chippewa High School in 1952, and was a member of the Bachelor Creek Church of Christ.
      Also surviving are two sons, Rodney Titus, Arcadia, and Randal Titus, Wabash; one brother, Ernie Shellenbarger, Wabash; and four grandchildren. One son is deceased.
      Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Main Street Chapel, Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Services. Tony Thomas will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery.
      Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Funeral home.
      Preferred memorials are to the Lutheran Health Foundation Transplant Assistance Fund.
