    • Park B. Trullinger Mellott, 68, a longstanding member of the Historic Harrisburg
      Association, died January 17th at Harrisburg Hospital, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. He was born November 5, 1937 to Byron F. and Helen Trullinger Mellott in Harrisburg. A longtime member of St. Stephens Episcopal Cathedral he had been a member of the Men and Boys Choir. He retired from Pomeroy's as a buyer for Hard Lines and most recently worked at Straw-berry Patch in Strawberry Square. Mr. Mellott has been a member of Dauphin County Historical Society for many years and was on several occasions a guest speaker for that organization. He was also. Park's contributions as a preservationist are hard to calculate. He helped establish the HHA Reference Library to which he donated many books. He served on several committees including the Education and Program Committees. He was active in helping to plan and execute HHA's the 30th anniversary celebration. At the time of his death, he was a member of the Preservation Committee. He was an excellent historic preservation strategist, dependable volunteer, occasional guest speaker, a n d knowledgeable historian. His extensive knowledge of old Harrisburg Front
      Street families and retailers was invaluable. He is survived by his sister, Joy (Bruce E.) Bangert; two aunts, Marion T. Russell of Mechanicsburg and Elizabeth Trullinger of Colonial Park; a niece, Helen E. Fischman; a nephew, Adam E. Fischman; two beloved cats, Max and Henrietta and a host of many friends and cousins. A memorial service was held Saturday, January 21st at St. Stephens
      Cathedral. Memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, 3211
