      Susan Ellen Wagner was born March 15, 1874 at Almartha, MO. to Zera
      Olden Parnell and Mary Ann Dye. Mrs. Wagner spent her early life atthe
      family home in Missouri.
      September 2, 1894 she was married to George Grant Ward in OzarkCounty,
      Missouri. They lived there and in Kansas until his death in 1901. They
      were the parents of four children: Zeb Washington Ward of Manville;
      Zera Nolan of Douglas, Effie who died in infancy, and Mrs Frank (Maude
      Clough) Quinn of Caldwell, Idaho.
      On July 17, 1904 she was married to Samuel L. Wagner of Vera Cruz, Mo.
      They were the parents of two girls, Christeen Kobbe, Douglas and Mrs
      Clement (Anna Marie) Williamson of Quincy, Ill.
      She was again widowed in 1933 and after a few years she left her home
      in Craig, Mo., and lived among her children, spending most of her time
      with her daughter, Christeen Kobbe of Douglas.
      Survivors are two sons, Zeb Ward of Manville and Nolan Ward ofDouglas;
      three daughters, Mrs. Christeen Kobbe, Douglas; Mrs Maude Quinn,
      Caldwell, Ida.; and Mrs Marie Williamson, Quincy, Ill; and numerous
      grandchildren.

      Mrs Wagner celebrates 90th Birthday (March 15, 1964)
      Mrs Susan Ellen Wagner celebrated her 90th birthday Sunday with manyof
      her children and grandchildren here for the event. A party was held at
      the home of her daughter, Mrs Christeen Kobbe with whom she lives.
      Mrs Wagner is active and alert and often travels by plane with Mrs
      Kobbe when they go on vacation. This is quite a contrast to thecovered wagon
      she rode as a bride from Missouri to Kansas. She has ridden on every
      means of transportation such as train, automobile and bus, along with

      the covered wagon and airplane, and is quite interested in the space
      progress.All of Mrs Wagner's five children are still living and althotwo of
      themcould not attend her birthday celebration, they and all the
      grandchildren and all except one great-grandchild did gather here last
      summer for a reunion. Mrs Kobbe said there was 42 in attendance atthis
      event.Those attending the birthday celebration Sunday included a son,Mr &
      Mrs Zeb Ward of Manville; a daughter, Mrs Frank Quinn of Caldwell,Ida.;
      great grandchildren, Avis, Polly (Paulette) and Robert Quinn of
      Crawford, Nebr; grandson Grant Ward and family of Lance Creek;
      granddaughter May and Raymond Smith of Lost Springs; and approximately
      40 neighbors and friends.
      Her two children who could not attend were Zera Nolan Ward, who is a
      paleontologist with the New York Museum of Natural History and Mrs
      Clement Williamson of Quincy, Ill., who teaches school.
