  Mount Ayr Record-News Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa Wednesday, July 29, 2009 OBITUARY - GAIL TRULLINGER Gail TRULLINGER, 54, of Mount Ayr, Iowa, passed away July 27, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. A funeral was to be held Wednesday, July 29 at the First Christian Church with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Watson-Armstrong Funeral Home of Mount Ayr was in charge of the arrangements. Memorials are to the First Christian Church and also a memorial scholarship established in her name. Gail TRULLINGER was born March 24, 1955 at the Decatur County Hospital in Leon to Ruth LEMONDS NOFTSGER and Gene H. NOFTSGER. Gail graduated valedictorian of the Grand Valley High School class of 1973. She went on to graduate cum laude from Graceland University in Lamoni with a Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education. Gail then earned her Master?s Degree in Computer Science from N.W.M.S.U. in Maryville, MO. Gail was united in marriage to Stephen TRULLINGER on July 20, 1974 in the Methodist Church in Kellerton. Gail taught grades 2 through 6 at Mount Ayr Elementary School from 1978 to 2009. She was the 6th grade teacher at the time of her retirement. Gail was an active member of the First Christian Church, playing the organ, teaching Sunday School and bible study classes; she had led the Bell Choir and the youth group and was an elder. She was also a member of the Mount Ayr Education Association and was a board member and past president of both Big Bird preschool and the Ringgold County Child Care Center. Survivors include her husband Steve TRULLINGER of Mount Ayr; 3 sons Rev. Jared (Amy) TRULLINGER of Iowa City, IA, Mark (fiancee Deepti PRADHAN) TRULLINGER of Centerville, IA, and Kevin TRULLINGER of Clive, IA; 1 granddaughter Stella TRULLINGER of Iowa City; her mother Ruth NOFTSGER of Kellerton; sister Amy PODZIMEK of Cedar Rapids, two brothers Morris (Julie) NOFTSGER of Kiefer, OK and John (Darla) NOFTSGER of Tulsa, OK; mother-in-law Roxie TRULLINGER of Mount Ayr; two sisters-in-law Linda (Bill) KONNATH of Ankeny and Ellen (Dave) BRAND of Audubon, IA; brother-in-law John (Cindy) TRULLINGER of Eldora, IA.
