  	Howard O. Boyer, 83, of Rural Valley, died Friday, Oct. 31, 1969, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital in Kittaning. A son of Michael and Mary McGregor Boyer, he was born July 1, 1886, in North Buffalo Twp., Armstrong County. He was a retired postmaster having served at the Rural Valley Post Office from 1915 to 1956. From 1908 to 1915, he was a rural mail carrier working out of the Yatesboro Post Office. Mr. Boyer was a member of Hope Presbyterian Church of Rural Valley, and served a number of years as both trustee and treasurer of the church. He was a member of IOOF Lodge No. 766, Rural Valley; F and AM No. 244, Kittanning, Coudersport Consistory, New Castle Consistory, Pittsburgh Shrine, MORA Club, Kittanning, and the Old Timers and Progressive Clubs of Rural Valley. He was also a director of the Rural Valley Cemetery Association. Surviving are his wife, Nannie May ; one son, Duane, Kittanning R.D. 7; two brothers, Lawrence of Rural Valley; Kenneth of Washington, D.C; one sister, Miss Marie Boyer of Indianapolis, Ind.; eight grandchildren. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m today and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m Sunday at the Carson Funeral Home, Rural Valley, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m Monday, Rev. Arthur R.
