- Mr. Robert G "Bullet Bob" Gamblin, age 74, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Ocean Springs Hospital.
He was born on July 1, 1938 in St. Louis, MO to Robert Lee & Lemma B Gamblin.
Bob was a resident of Jackson Co, MS for 42 years.
He was in the United States Air Force and retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding.
He worked with Law Enforcement for over 50 years, starting in St. Charles Sheriff's Department in MO, then on to Jackson Co. Sheriff's Department and Gautier Police Department.
Bob's favorite pastime was hunting and fishing.
He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ronald Gamblin of Marquand, MO, Gary W. Gamblin of Edwardsburg, MI, and Charles Gamblin of Portageville, MO; one sister, Loretta Nash of Sioux City, IA; 2 sons, Kirk R. Gamblin & Michael F. McNeely of AZ; and 1 great granddaughter, Kaitlyn Landreth.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Linda J. Gamblin; sons, Bobby (Melissa) McNeely of Roanoke, VA, Shawn (Annette) McNeely of Gilbert, AZ, Guy Gamblin of Gautier, MS, Brett Gamblin of Helena, MT, Jay (Tracy) Suttles, Jimmy Suttles, and Timothy (Laura) Suttles, all of Florala, AL, and Parish Raper of Gautier, MS; daughters, Laurie G. Gamblin of Wright City, MO, Kelly (Rick) Haines of Imperial, MO, Kathy Jo (Kurt) Schimmel of Osage Beach, MO, Tina (Shawn) Barnes of DeFuniak Springs, FL, Mona Lynn Raper of Biloxi, MS, and Zuqulia (KeKe) Buckley of Gautier, MS; one brother, Russell (Sharon) Gamblin of Rector, AR; 37 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
