  	The Times News Marvin Russell Trollinger Sr. ROANOKE, Va. - Marvin Russell Trollinger Sr., 62, of Roanoke, Va., died on Sunday, August 22, 2010. He was the son of James and Gladys Trollinger of Roanoke. A former resident of Hopewell, Va., he was a retired civilian employee of the U. S. Army at Fort Lee, Va. At the time of his retirement, he was serving as Chief, Television Branch, U.S. Army Combined Arms Support Command Training Directorate. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Becky (Brian) Ward of Troutville, Va.; his grandchildren, Brianna Ward and Mitchell Trollinger; a brother, Richard (Patsi) Trollinger of Danville, Ky.; sisters, Brenda Canney and Kate (Sidney) Redford of Roanoke; six nephews and nieces; and a special friend, Michele Archer, of Chester, Va. He was preceded in death by his son, Marvin R. "Rusty" Trollinger II. Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Oakey's North Chapel with the Rev. Ricardo Rodriguez officiating. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at the Phillips Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Alamance County, N.C. with the Rev. Dr. David Mielke officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 3 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Oakey's North Chapel, 540-362-1237.
