Obituary
Marvin Russell Trollinger Sr.
ROANOKE, Va. - Marvin Russell Trollinger Sr., 62, of Roanoke, Va.,died on Sunday, August 22, 2010.
He was the son of James and Gladys Trollinger of Roanoke.
A former resident of Hopewell, Va., he was a retired civilian employeeof the U. S. Army at Fort Lee, Va. At the time of his retirement, hewas serving as Chief, Television Branch, U.S. Army Combined ArmsSupport Command Training Directorate.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Becky(Brian) Ward of Troutville, Va.; his grandchildren, Brianna Ward andMitchell Trollinger; a brother, Richard (Patsi) Trollinger ofDanville, Ky.; sisters, Brenda Canney and Kate (Sidney) Redford ofRoanoke; six nephews and nieces; and a special friend, Michele Archer,of Chester, Va.
He was preceded in death by his son, Marvin R. "Rusty" Trollinger II.
Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 atOakey's North Chapel with the Rev. Ricardo Rodriguez officiating.Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 25, 2010at the Phillips Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in AlamanceCounty, N.C. with the Rev. Dr. David Mielke officiating.
The family will be receiving friends from 3 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday,August 24, 2010 at Oakey's North Chapel, 540-362-1237.
