    • AUGUSTA, Ga. - Janice Sue Trollinger, age 65, entered eternal rest on January 7, 2008 at Trinity Hospital, Augusta, Ga. A memorial service for Ms. Trollinger will be held on Thursday evening, January 10, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbert Lambuth Chapel of Paine College, Augusta, Ga. Ms. Trollinger was a native of Waco, Texas and was predeceased by her parents. Ms. Trollinger is survived by her loving son, Gabriel Andrew Trollinger, U.S. Army Alaska, his fiancee Lauren McGuire, Warner Robbins, Ga.; a brother, Alan Trollinger and his wife Beverly of New Braunfels, Texas; and a nephew, John Trollinger, Austin, Texas. Ms. Trollinger received her undergraduate degree from Sam Houston State University and her master's degree from the University of Arkansas. She had been selected numerous times for the Who's Who of American Educators and was currently serving on the faculty of Paine College as a professor of English. Ms. Trollinger had also served on the faculty of South West Missouri State University, the University of Central Missouri and Fort Valley State University. Ms. Trollinger will be greatly missed by her son, family, students, friends and her Paine College family.

    • Janice and Alan are the children of Adams La Fayette Trollinger andAlbulah Redden. As of yet I cannot explain why both of their birthdates precede the marriage date between Adams and Albulah. (David H.Drollinger 17 Jul 2013)

      Janice apparently had her son, Gabriel out of wedlock which mightexplain why he carries her maiden name and why she continued to useher maiden name.
