  In spite of all the incredible similarities, it appears John A. Trollinger (1853-1918) and J. A. Trollinger (abt 1853-1918) are two different people. Their death records appear to dispel the possibility of them being the same person. (David H. Drollinger 19 Nov 2020) He is identified as "Jno. A. Trollinger" on his marriage license with Susanna. 'Jno' is a standard abbreviation for Jonathan and serves as evidence that Jonathan is his birth name with 'John' being his nickname.
