- Mary Lou Trollinger, 78, of Port Lavaca, passed away Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008. She was born Nov. 26, 1929 to the late Ernest and Maggie Rodgers. She was a retired LVN for Port Lavaca Nursing and Rehabilitation and a Methodist.
She is survived by her daughter, Gloria Trollinger of Houston; son, Hugh Lawrence Trollinger of Dickinson; companion, W.T. Shiflet; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Lawrence Trollinger; daughter, Jackie Lou Butts; son, Jimmy Michael Trollinger; and her parents.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Monday, March 3, in Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 4, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Gardens.
Pallbearers are Thomas Butts, Michael Butts, Bryan Tatum, David Nicholson, Brad Trollinger, and Phillip Butts.

Jack L. Trollinger Advocate News Service PORT LAVACA - Jack L. Trollinger, 67, of Port Lavaca died in a Victoria hospital Friday morning after an extended illness. Born July 27, 1918, in Longview, he was a retired millwright from Alcoa's Point Comfort Operations. He was a member of the Coast Guard during World War II and a Method-Services are pending at Richd--son Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Trollinger of Port Lavaca ; a son, Hugh L. Trollinger of Inez; two daughters, Gloria Tatum of Houston and Jackie Butts of Georgia ; a sister, Maxine Miller of Galena Park; and five grandchildren.
