- Ronald G. Leverenz, 81, died at 7:55 p.m. Wednesday, December 1, 2010,Hoopeston, Illinois.
He was born on February 12, 1929, in Wellington, Illinois, a son ofCharles W. and Gladys Johnson Leverenz. He married Gwendolyn AnnDrollinger on June 17, 1950, in Wellington. She preceded him in deathon November 3, 2009.
He is survived by a daughter, Jackie Leverenz of Hoopeston; agrandson, Darren Conrad; a great-granddaughter, Briannna L. Conrad; asister-in-law, Betty Leverenz; and two brothers-in-law, RobertLockhart and Robert Totheroh.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lyle and Kenneth Leverenz;and two sisters, Marilyn Lockhart and Louise Totheroh.
Ron was a member of Wellington United Methodist Church. He was a mailcarrier in Hoopeston for 32 years, retiring in November 1993. He was aU.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean Conflict.
