Riddle, George B.-- I a young servant of God will try to write anobituary of my stepfather, George B. Riddle. He was born Jan 10, 1912in Perry County, Kentucky to Lourenza and Martha Jane Pratt Riddle andGod permitted him to day on this earth 58 years, 7 months and 10 daysbefore sending His angel to take him home, where there is no moresorrows, pain, or sickness. On Aug. 13, 1938 at Whitesburg, Kentucky,he married Lula Sizemore, and to this union one dither [daughter] wasborn, Geneva Riddle Huziak. Later Lula preceded him in death on June13, 1967, when God called her home. With much sadness in his heart hemet my mother, Sophia Dixon Drullinger and the6y [they] were joinedtogether in holy matrimony on Jan. 6, 1968 at the Mr. [Mt.] OliveChurch in Blackey, Kentucky and lived so as a man and wife until Godcalled him home on Aug. 22, 1971 at the Wayne County General Hopitalin Westland, Michigan, where he died of the dreadful disease, cancer.He joined the Ypsilanti Church of Old Regular Baptist on Nov. 29, 1964and was baptised by Elder Dewey Sexton and Elder Covis Tackett. Laterhe moved his letter to The Morning Star Church of Old Regular Baptistand lived a faithful life until God called him home. Leaving to mournis a wife, Sophia Riddle, Ypsilanti, Mich.; one daughter, GenevaRiddle Huziak, Wayne Michigan.; two granddaughters, Debbie and pattyHuziak, Wayne, Mich.; one stepdaughter, Brenda Kaye Maynard,Ypsilanti, Mich.; two brothers: Winford Riddle, Lincoln Park, Mich.;James Riddle, Thornton, Kentucky, two sisters, Mrs. Sabrina Caudill,Premium, Kentucky and Mrs. Ola Roberts, Coeburn, Virginia and manyother relatives and friends.
