- HAMPTON - Lee Knight Trollinger, 52, a longtime Hampton resident, died Wednesday, July 9, 2008.
Lee was a member of Full Gospel Worship Center. He was the founder of Mid-Knight Tax Services, the National Association of Abused and Henpecked Husbands and Second Chances Ministries. Lee was an ordained Minister, and also loved to country western dance. He was a longtime employee of Chownings Tavern in Colonial Williamsburg's historic area and was currently employed at Wyndham Worldwide Resorts - Kingsgate Tavern. He was affectionately known by his wife as her 'Cowboy.'
He was preceded in death by his father, Lee Knight Trollinger Sr., and his biological mother, Laverne Babcock.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Julia 'Sandy' Trollinger; mother, Edith Trollinger, and stepfather, Morris Febuary; sons, Justin Trollinger and wife, Heather, and Nathan Trollinger; stepdaughters, Tiffany Hotchkiss and husband, Ethan, and Kristy Gott and husband, Roger; biological father, Herbert Simmons; half-sister, Jackie Bass; half-brother, Eddy Bass; brothers, Kenny and Ricky Simmons; stepsisters, Betty Burak, Dianne Eacho, and Rhonda Febuary; seven grandchildren; canine companion, Farkle, and granddog, Shadow; and a large extended family and close friends.
Visitation with the family will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, at the Full Gospel Worship Center, with a celebration service immediately following with Pastor Charles W. Hughes officiating.
