      Carol Laverne Trolinger, 58, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2015.
      Funeral service will be held 2 pm Monday, October 5, 2015 at Canadian River Cowboy Church with Pastor Billy Paul Vinson, officiating. Burial will follow in Stinnett Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. In lieu of flowers her memory may be honored with a gift to the Canadian River Cowboy Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 142, Borger, Texas 79008.
      Carol was born October 3, 1956 in Borger to Vista Pauline (Taylor) and Jimmie Charles Sargent. She was a highly active member of Canadian River Cowboy Church where she was on the leadership team. Nothing brought more joy to her life than her grandkids. She enjoyed chasing them around and supporting them in all their activities.
      She is preceded in death by her father and sister, Elda Mae Smith.
      Survivors include her husband, Joe Trolinger of the home; mother, Pauline Sargent of Stinnett; son, Raymond Trolinger and wife Carolee of Borger; three grandchildren, Kimber, Cooper and Quaid; brother, Charlie Sargent and wife Kathy of Stinnett; brother-in-law, Jim Tom Smith of Eufaula, Oklahoma; and son-in-love, Carlos White and wife Casey of White Deer.

    • Vista Pauline Sargent went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday morning, October 20, 2021, in Amarillo.

      Graveside services will be 11:00 am Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Stinnett Cemetery. Burial is under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. There will be a visitation on Friday, October 22, 2021, at the funeral home from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

      Vista was born May 17, 1935 in Grainola, OK to Alpha and Vista (Lane) Taylor. She married Jimmie Sargent in Phillips on May 19,1951. She was lifetime resident of the Stinnett and Phillips area. She was an active member of Stinnett Church of Christ for over 60 years. She was a member of the Hutchinson County Sheriff's Posse and Stinnett Grandmothers Club for many years.

      Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, daughters Elda Smith and Carol Trolinger; granddaughter Shonda Lehr; three brothers and two sisters.

      Surviving is her son Charlie Sargent and wife Kathy of Stinnett. Son-in-laws Joe Trolinger of Skellytown and Jim Smith of Eufaula, OK. Sister Darlene Hadley and husband Don of Ardmore, OK. Grandchildren Lynn Sargent and wife Jennifer of Valley Mills; Tye Sargent of Hewitt; Raymond Trolinger and wife Carolee of Borger; Jimmy Smith and his wife Ky of Pampa. Great grandchildren Tanner Sargent, Trinity Sargent, Cooper Trolinger, Kimber Trolinger, Quaid Trolinger, Seth Smith, Brooklyn Smith, Conner Smith and Dravin Lehr.

      The family would like to give a special thank you to all the staff at Borger Healthcare Center and BSA Hospice of the Southwest at the Arbors for taking very good care of Vista.
