  Because Harriett carries the middle initial of 'E' and has a daughter named Eliza, it appear that Harriett's middle name MAY be Eliza or Elizabeth. Harriett's birth date varies wildly from document to document. The only birth date that seems most likely is about 1839 as it is recorded in her 1870 Census. She herself was probably the one furnishing the answers to the census taker's questions. Additionally, 1839 also appears to be reasonable since her daughter, Caroline was born about 1855 which means Harriett would have been roughly 16 years old at the time. Listed as Harriett Cook in her daughter's death certificate.
