- Wanda Jean Wright Trollinger, age 70, of Brownton, WV, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV. She was born on August 5, 1946 at Brownton, a daughter of the late Arnel and Evelyn "Maxine" Wright.
Wanda is survived by her husband, William G. "Gil" Trollinger; two daughters: Theresa Allen of Audra, WV, and Misty Ann Allen Hall of Indianapolis, IN; two step-children: Bill Trollinger and Wendy Smith; nine grandchildren: Tyler Hall, Paul Hartman, Alex Trollinger, Brandyn Hall, Samantha Hartman, Chris Smith, Peyton Trollinger, Karson Hamm, and Sarah Hall; and four siblings: Ernest Wright of Huntngton Beach, CA, Doris Wolfe and husband Burl of PA; Duard Wright and wife Caroline of Clarksville, TN, and Barbara McGee and husband Les of Elkins, NC. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents Wanda was proceeded in death by one brother, Clifford Dale Wright.
Wanda was a graduate of Philip Barbour Class of 1965 and then attended the WV Business College. She retired from the human resources department with NASA. Over the years she had also worked several years with the Department of Agriculture and also as a legal assistant to Attorney John Mosesso. Wanda loved her hometown of Brownton and over the years always seemed to make it back there. She was an incredibly generous individual who loved her family and friends very passionately. Her Lord and Savior was her greatest love and she always wanted to make sure others knew him. Growing up Wanda attended the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church and in more recent years the Church of Christ in Bridgeport, Grafton, and Philippi. She was a very loyal and dedicated mother, having traveled near and far to make sure her children were always safe.
The family will receive friends at the Bradley J. Mayle Funeral Home in Flemington, WV, on Friday, September 30, 2016 from 5 until 8pm. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 11am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Flemington I.O.O.F. Cemetery. The Bradley J. Mayle Funeral Home is honored to serve the Wright-Trollinger Family during this time.
