      Obituary: ROSE C. TROLLINGER BRIGHAM CITY – Our loving mother,grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend to all, Rose ClaraTrollinger, 83, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at the OgdenRegional Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born onDecember 31, 1925 of James Alexander and Marie Cox Smith inTollenburg, Colorado, a coal mining town outside of Trinidad. Rosegrew up and graduated high school in Glendale, California, then livedin Texas and England before settling in Brigham City in 1966. Rose wasa member of the St. Michael's Episcopal Church, where she was a memberof the Alter Guild and was well known for her fried chicken dinner forWorld Relief Fund Raiser. Rose helped found Brigham's Acts Six SoupKitchen in 1986 and managed it until her passing. She remained veryactive caring for her apartments, neighbors, friends, and family. Shewas at various times involved in the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 11,other Masonic organizations, Job's Daughters, White Shrine, DeMolay's,Cub Scouts and Girls Scouts. Rose was Grand Marshall for Brigham'sPeach Day's in 2000. She enjoyed gardening, especially roses and lovedcooking for everyone. Rose was always willing to feed anyone that camearound. She loved being with her family, and helped raise her twograndchildren and two great grandchildren. Surviving are her threechildren, Wilbur (Karen) Farrell, Brigham City, UT; Michael (Carol)Farrell, Broomfield, CO; Susan Farrell Poulsen, Brigham City, UT ;nine grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; one sister, HelenKushner, Arleta, CA . She was preceded in death by her parents, onesister, Charlotte, and two great grandchildren. The family thanks Dr.Bryce and all other medical staff for the loving continuous carethrough her valiant battle for life at the Brigham City Community andOgden Regional Hospitals. The many comforting expressions ofcondolence expressed to the family have also been greatly appreciated.In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Acts Six SoupKitchen, c/o Gillies Funeral Chapel, and/or bring a non- perishablefood item to the mortuary on Friday. A viewing will be held on Friday,May 1, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634East 200 South, Brigham City, Utah 84302. Funeral services will beheld on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Michael'sEpiscopal Church, 589 South 200 East, Brigham City, Utah Intermentwill be in the Corinne City Cemetery .
