- Nancy Kathryn Gipson, 78, of Central City, Ark., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015, in Fort Smith, Ark.. Service is 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home. Visitation is 6 p.m. Saturday.. She was born June 15, 1937, in Possum Kingdom, Texas, to Leroy (Buddy) Storm and Thyrza Mitchell Storm. She married her first husband on June 24, 1950. After his passing in 1977, Nancy married Charles Gipson on Oct. 31, 1980, and celebrated this year their 35th anniversary. Nancy was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and, most of all, granny. Nancy knew the way to her families' heart and that was by her down-home southern cooking. She was most admired for her delicious homemade chocolate and coconut meringue pies. She always made sure that you never left her home hungry. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Fairview Baptist Church.. Nancy is survived by her husband, Charles Raymond Gipson; four daughters, Debbie Fowler and husband Edwin of Mineral Wells, Suzanne Sortman and husband Vince of Aurora, Colo.; Beth Behrle and husband Tom of Baltimore, Md., and Melissa Gipson of Arlington, Texas; two sons, W.C. Glover and wife Debbie of North Richland Hills, Texas, and Blake Gipson of Denver, Colo.; two sisters, Pearl Gunn and Sue Gardner, both of Mineral Wells; 10 grandchildren, Misty Steiner and Cody Fowler, Shawna Jo Riley, Brandan and Nathan Sortman, Kristen Bray, Alex, Courtney, and Katy and Denton Asdourian; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Clyde J. Glover; grandchild, Christy Michelle Glover, Sisters Reva Nipp, Lavelle McCoy, Bertha Mares and Celia Glover; and brother, Wilburn Storm.. The family would like to thank all of the nurses at Greenhurst Nursing Home for the wonderful care they provided Nancy over the last several years..
