  I remember him as having a full head of white hair and a bull dog like jaw. My uncle Gordon used to say he was like a pack of gypsies. Descend on a place and leave it picked clean. He lived a sort of hand to mouth existence doing odd jobs and putting his hand in at what ever would turn a dollar. He bought a used Cadilac and used it as a school bus for the kids around St Columban. He once had a bull dozer and cable set up to run a make shift ski lift.
