  	Mrs. Carrie Hawley, 89, died at her home in Brownsboro at 5:30 p.m., Monday after a long illness. Born in Kaufman County, Mrs. Hawley had lived in Brownsboro for the past 19 years. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Mrs. Hawley is survived by her husband, T.E. Hawley of Brownsboro; five sons, Guy Simmons and A.L. Simmons, both of Marshall, and Fred Simmons of Ben Wheeler, Woodrow Simmons of Dallas, and John T. Simmons of Tyler; two step-sons, Hiram Hawley of Dallas and Joe Hawley of Brownsboro; three step-daughters, Mrs. Alton Loosier, Mrs. J.C. Barnes and Mrs. Ida Carlisle, all of Brownsboro; one brother, Simon Trollinger of Kaufman; one halfbrother, Thurman Williams of Rusk, and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 4 p.m. in New Hope Methodist Church with the Rev. Prince Loosier and the Rev. Owens officiating, and burial was in New Hope Cemetery with Hassel and Foster in charge.
