Family comments: Given a design and materials, John could build anything. In recent years, he was known for his mobile home, which was painted blue and covered with clouds, driving a long blue van, wearing a hat (which he always politely removed indoors), spending time with his family and hanging out at local restaurants, flirting with the waitresses. All loved him and will miss his dry wit, corny jokes and generous nature.
