- Howard Marvin Graves, 80 died October 2,2021.He was born in Windsor, VT. to George Marvin and Daphine Louise Thurston Graves. An Air Force veteran, he retired after many years of service with the Department of Defense. Following his retirement, he spent 16 years as a reserve officer with the Anne Arundel County Police Department. Among his many hobbies he enjoyed golf, bowling and playing cards. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son-in-law, Gene Burdette. He is survived by his wife, Donna, daughter, Margo Burdette of Adairsville, GA, son, Robert Graves and his wife Patty of Bristow, VA. 4 grandchildren, Jason Burdette, Christina Burdette, Madison Burdette and Ann Graves, 2 step grandchildren, Randy Burdette and Holly Burke, 2 step great-grandchildren, Logan Burdette and Dakota Burke. Also survived by his siblings George (LuAnn) Graves, Chuck Graves, Carol(Greg) Hachey and many nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Monday October 11,from 6-8 pm at the Hardesty Funeral Home P.A. 851 Annapolis Road Gambrills, MD. Funeral Services will be held at the St Stephen?s Episcopal Church, Crownsville, MD on Tuesday October 12,2021 at 12 pm. Interment to follow at the Maryland Veteran?s Cemetery Crownsville, MD.
