He was a retired roofer, a member of the Hartsburg Lions Club, loved fishing, worked in the garden, and attended New Hope Baptist Church in Hartsburg. Survivors include: two sons, Dennis Hartman and his wife Cindy, and Karl Hartman and his wife Irene, one daughter, Debra Sankpill and her husband Chris, one daughter-in-law, Lorine Nelson, all of Hartsburg; one sister, Patricia Schenk and her husband James of Lebanon; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Roy Wayne, and one sister, Margaret. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, November 30, 2013, at Robinson Funeral Home with visitation from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the family in care of Robinson Funeral Home.
