  	BATON ROUGE, La. - Thomas Edwin Trolinger, 92, died on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at his residence in Baton Rouge. Mr. Trolinger was born in Dallas on Feb. 9, 1920, but claimed Mission as his home. He attended Edinburg Junior College and the University of Oklahoma. He was a member of the U.S. Army Air Corp from 1942 to 1945. While serving in England with the 8th Air Force as a 1st Lt. Bombardier, he was shot down and spent one year as a P.O.W. by the Germans at Stalag Luft III at Sagan, Germany, in western Poland. He was a member of the 8th Air Force Historical Society and a member of the Red Stick Chapters of Ex P.O.W.'s. He is survived by his daughters, Jill Trolinger Bushart of Baton Rouge and Susan Trolinger Whitfield of Winter Park, Fla.; sister, Reba Bremer of Enid, Okla.; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Jeanette Rucker Trolinger; sister, Jeanne Jones; and brother, E.R. Fry. A private memorial service for the family will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Joseph Hospice, 10615 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, LA 70809.
