  	Nancy Arabella (Trolinder) Compton 1877 - 1960 Funeral services for Mrs. Nancy A. Compton, 83, of Mount Enterprise, were held Tuesday afternoon, May 31, 1960 at 3 o'clock in the Church of Christ in Mount Enterprise, with Elder J.C. Foster officiating. Interment was in the King Cemetery, Mrs. Compton died Monday, May 30, 1860, at her home in Mount Enterprise. Born July 18, 1877, in Jonesboro, Texas, Mrs. Compton was the daughter of Newton B. and Lucy Ann Yancy Trolinder. She was married January 11, 1893, in Pendaltonville, Texas, to S. T. Compton, who died May 19, 1956. Both Mr. and Mrs. Compton were members of prominent Bell County families. Mr. Compton was a pioneer publisher of Texas. Mrs. Compton was a member of the Church of Christ in Mount Enterprise and had lived her 41 years. To her the struggle and burden bearing of earth are ended and we confidently trust that like one who awakes from a troubled dream she has awakened to see life's endless morning break and knows herself at home with all the vast throng of loved ones, missed from earth, safe about her. Her home instincts were strong here in this fevered world of disappointment. Her affection for friends and kindred was tender and abiding. Survivors are three sons: S.B. Compton of Henderson; T.V. Compton of Clifton; and Joe Compton of Mount Enterprise; four daughters: Mrs. H.C. Bunn of Mount Enterprise; Mrs. Zora Moss of Bellaire; and Mrs. George Evans and Mrs. H. T. Pitts, both of Orange; two sisters, Mrs. Lucy Whites and Mrs. Ella Darwin of Rogers; twelve grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. Joe Compton is publisher of the Mount Enterprise Progress and the Cushing News. Pallbearers were H.C. Barlow, Jerry McCrary, Ira Phillips, Ennis Bohannon, J. N. Garrett, and Clyde Flanagan. Services were under direction of Whtley-Holsombach Funeral Home.
