    • Neva Eudey, 91 year old Beaver, Oklahoma resident, passed away on February 11, 2021 in the Oklahoma City Heart Hospital.

Elva Geneva Trolinder was born June 17, 1929, to Earnest Euel Trolinder and Lula Helen (Montgomery) Trolinder in the Hoolyann Community near Kirkland, Texas. She was the middle child of seven, the oldest being a boy, then five girls, and a baby brother. Her older brother and sisters shortened her name to Neva

As a child, Neva enjoyed being outside and helping her daddy on the farm. She especially enjoyed taking care of the farm animals, even the chickens. One of her favorite animals was Ole Dan the horse. She enjoyed driving the tractor and helping in the field. The family all worked hard trying to make a living on the sandy farm ground south of the Red River. It was a difficult life, but the family all contributed to the effort and didn't know any difference. When Neva was a young girl the family moved to Brownfield, Texas, but returned to the Chillicothe, Texas, area after a short time. In school she especially enjoyed art class and liked to draw and paint. This hobby continued all her life, until her tremors prevented her from being able to put her expressions on canvas. She graduated from Chillicothe High School in May 1947.

In May 1947 she met Cleburne Doyle Eudey on a blind date set up by her friend and Cleburne's cousin. They fell in love and were married on November 22, 1947. To this union two sons were born, Tommy in 1951 and Joe in 1953. Neva and C.D. (she's the one that started calling him C.D.) had been married 59 years when he died in August of 2007.

C.D. and Neva began their married life in Childress, Texas, and then moved to the Stratford, Texas area. While there C.D. worked on farms and cattle ranches and they started their family. Neva was busy with the boys and also cooked meals for the field workers and helped with the farm chores. They moved to the Gruver, Texas, area for a few years before moving to the Beaver, Oklahoma community in 1964. As the boys got older Neva helped more with the field work and spent many hours driving a tractor. During harvest she was especially busy with farm chores, cooking meals for the workers, and driving wheat trucks. In the late 1960's Neva started working part time at the Beaver Post Office and then part time in the Beaver County Assessors office. After that, she worked full time in the Beaver County Treasurers office. She enjoyed working in town and seeing the people that would come into the office. During this time she continued to help on the farm. In 1984 they moved into town to make it easier to operate the oilfield roustabout business they established in 1980. Neva retired from the Beaver County Treasurers office in 1991.

In the late 1980's C.D. and Neva purchased a cabin in Ute Park, New Mexico. They enjoyed spending many weekends there and more time after they both retired. Neva always enjoyed the country and the beauty of the mountains. They made many friends and memories during this time.

Neva gave her life to Christ as a child and was faithful to Him her entire life. When her family moved to Beaver they became members of the First Christian Church. She loved her church family and never wanted to move away. She loved others unconditionally. As her health declined, she was determined to continue attending her church and was very thankful she was able to do so until the end of her life. She had many dear friends in the church and cherished the time she could worship and fellowship with them. She was a faithful servant in numerous capacities and over the years helped prepare many funeral dinners for grieving families.

Neva loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She was a proud grandma to Scott, Tim, David and Beth. They all have fond memories of going to Grandma's house. She was always ready to play with them, make things with them and prepare foods they liked. Her patient, loving nature made them all feel very special. Her entire life Neva looked forward to time spent with family. Big gatherings around her kitchen table provided some of her fondest lifelong memories.

Neva was preceded in death by her husband, whom she lovingly cared for during his lengthy illness at the end of his life. Also preceding her were her parents, brothers R.B. and Lawrence Trolinder, and sister Helen Brandon.

She is survived by her sons Tommy and wife Sheila of Harrah, Oklahoma, Joe and wife Connie of Edmond, Oklahoma; grandsons Scott Eudey, Tim Eudey, David Eudey and wife Laura, and granddaughter Beth Kelly and husband Brian. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren, Taylor Eudey, Reagan Eudey, Max Kelly, Camryn Kelly, Weston Eudey, Zachary Eudey, Tyler Eudey, Raquel Eudey, Zylec Eudey. Also surviving her are sisters Dell Beadle, Faye Turvaville, and Ruby LaFollette, sister-in-law Coleen Ticer and husband Jerry, sister-in-law Gladys Eudey, and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the First Christian Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 40, Beaver Oklahoma 73932, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
