Gilbert is survived by his son, Gilbert Browning Jr. and wife Dawn of West Frankfort, Illinois, his stepson Dickie Duke of Park Hills, Missouri, two sisters; Nola Fay Dunn of Farmington, Missouri, and Joyce Roark and husband John of Sullivan, Missouri, five grandchildren; Danielle, Shannon, Ryan, Kegan, and Megan, three great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Gilbert was preceded in death by his wife, Geno Browning, his parents, and two brothers; Raymond and Richard Browning.
Gilbert was a member of the First Baptist Church of Iron Mountain. He enjoyed collecting model tractors and cars.
