  Her birth name was probably Clarissa which was a popular name in the day. 'Clarissy' was no doubt her affectionate nickname as she was a young child who appears to have died as an infant. Note: Harry Benjamin Drollinger believes that because Clarissy does not show up in the 1880 or later census she may have died between age 2 and 10 years and that she is probably buried in Citizen's Cemetery in Roann near her father's grave site or on the family farm.
